Remember They Might Be Giants? Geeky, surrealistic pop band I listened to a lot at one point, at least.
Anyway, they have a fun podcast on their Web site, which includes, in its latest episode, something of particular interest to our Albany readers: a song of praise for The Egg, the gem of the Rockefeller abomination that houses much of the state government:
“From the outside you think, ‘I’m a number not a man,'” they sing, asking: “When will it hatch?”
Also, though I’d never thought of them as a political band, they’ve got a catchy little ringtone (if you’re the type who needs an annoying cellphone ringtone): “This call connected to the NSA/For the duration of the permanent war.”
