Petitioning for AG

Sean Patrick Maloney, building on his statements earlier this week, has sent out a letter challenging his opponents not to dispute petition signatures in the race for Attorney General.

One snippet from the letter:

“Although I believe in standing up for the rules because they serve a legitimate purpose, I also believe that we as Democrats should not tear each other down for political gain. For that reason I pledge not to dispute the validity of your petitions and signatures and I challenge each of you to do the same.”

It seems Maloney is shifting pre-convention conversation about party support to the likelihood of petitioning operations for many of his opponents, and warns against suspending ballot access regulations.
