Red Hook Condo Plan Sputters

A judge has ordered developer Bruce Batkin has to go back to square one get approval for converting the 160 Imlay St. warehouse into condos–a seminal fight between advocates of more industry versus those who favor residential development. This case has traveled such a long and winding road that it makes it hard to figure out just what that means, but at the very least Batkin won’t be able to pass this project off on someone else very easily. The real estate market hates uncertainty.
