ERICA: After several panicked, “I don’t want to alarm you, but it seems like your hotel is closing down” family phone calls, we picked ourselves up, dusted ourselves off and reserved another block of rooms at The Renaissance Esmeralda.
It’s not quite the same aesthetic as the last hotel and our rates suck since we’re now negotiating 5 months before the event. However, The Esmeralda was just renovated so they have a brand new spa, redecorated rooms and everything looks pretty darn new and shiny. Quasimodo, eat your heart out.
Not to mention the fact that we don’t really have a choice at this point!
