FRANCESCA: Last weekend, my Los Angeles bachelorette party weekend, I went up to the mountains of Big Bear, east of Los Angeles with half a dozen girl friends. We ended up in the hot tub, drinking wine and staring at the bright stars in the wide sky.
One friend took a gulp of wine, sank down into the bubbles and said, “Francesca, you should get married more often so we can have more weekend getaways.”
“Does it have to be a wedding or a new baby or a birthday to celebrate?” I asked.
No, we decided and we came up with a list of reasons to celebrate.
An end to breast-feeding. A new coffee table. A 25 year friendship. A good haircut.
Why wait to celebrate?
