Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Tom Turcol has joined Kennedy Communications, a Democratic political communications firm whose clients include many New Jersey elected officials and party organizations. Turcol, who has spent the last eight years as the chief New Jersey political reporter for the Philadelphia Inquirer, will become a senior strategist specializing in message and media planning for political and corporate clientele. Turcol previously worked at the Washington Post and the Virginian-Pilot of Norfolk. At the Virginian-Pilot, he earned a Pulitzer Prize for coverage of politics and an investigative series exposing government expense-account fraud. In 2000, he was named one of the nation’s top seven political reporters by Brill’s Content magazine. Kennedy Communications specializes in political direct mail, research, and strategy, and serves a variety of political clientele nationwide – including U.S. Senators, Members of Congress, and state, city, and county elected officials across the country. The firm also serves as a principal campaign consultant for the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware Democratic House Caucuses.
