Senate Democrats have not yet decided whether they will continue to use Deborah Lynch, the wife of former Senate President John Lynch, as they campaign fundraiser. “The issue has not been discussed yet,” said A.J. Sabbath, an aide to Senate President Richard Codey. One Democratic insider says that while Mrs. Lynch had no part of the corruption probe that will send her husband to a federal prison for 33 to 41 months, it is “generally assumed” that much of her fundraising prowess comes because of John Lynch’s political clout. Assembly Democrats say that Mrs. Lynch has not raised money for their leadership PAC since the end of 2003.
