Peterman’s Reality Bus Tour

U.S. Senator Robert Menendez will return to Bally’s in Atlantic City on Friday to address the New Jersey Democratic State Committee’s annual conference and lead a tour of what his campaign calls “Tom Kean Jr.’s Elevator to Nowhere.” At a meeting of county elected officials at Bally’s last June, Menendez attacked Kean’s ethics and Kean took some heat for refusing to speak to reporters about his rivals speech. Meanwhile, Kean is criticizing Menendez for refusing to accept an invitation from Tim Russert to debate on NBC-TV’s Meet the Press. “If you have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to worry about,” said Kean spokeswoman Jill Hazelbaker. “With a legislative record that includes voting against the creation of the Department of Homeland Security, voting against the $87 billion supplemental budget for operations in Iraq and Afghanistan that provided our men and women in the field with body armor, and voting in favor of giving Social Security Benefits to illegal aliens, we can understand why he’d want to hide.”
