Booker picks governing over campaigning

While Illinois U.S. Senator Barack Obama is a hot commodity on the national campaign trail, another young African American political superstar has focused more on governing than politics. Cory Booker, who was elected Mayor of Newark last May with 75% of the vote, Booker attended Bob Menendez’s rally in Newark with Obama last week and campaigned for Joseph Lieberman in the Connecticut Democratic primary, but he has not made many appearances on behalf of Democratic candidates nationally or in New Jersey.
