Here’s the first official withdrawal of an endorsement Alan Hevesi, from the New York City Sergeants Benevolent Association.

“The charges against Mr. Hevesi are very troubling because they are clearly a violation of the public trust,” said SBA President Ed Mullins. “They suggest a total lack of regard and respect for the law, as well as a blatant misuse of public funds for personal use. Elected and public officials should be held to the same high ethical standards as police officers are. Anything less is unacceptable.”
