The New York Times is reporting today that National Republicans have decided to divert campaign funds earmarked for Ohio U.S. Senator Michael DeWine to other GOP candidates, including New Jersey’s Tom Kean, Jr. Independent and internal polls show DeWine losing to Democrat Sherrod Brown, while the same polls show Kean and Democratic U.S. Senator Robert Menendez to be virtually tied. According to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission, Kean raised more money than Menendez did over the last three months.
