Rock T-Shirt Shop Rejects Demonic Address

666: Mark of the Merch No Longer

Shuttered rock club CBGB’s ongoing merchandising operation has quit plans to open a new t-shirt and swag shop at 666 Bond St.

The new CBGB Fashions location had been scheduled to open on Nov. 1. But “hidden costs” at the apocalyptic address have prompted store officials to look elsewhere, including an unspecified storefront on St. Mark’s Place, says CBGB’s Louise Parnassa.

In the meantime, impatient t-shirt seekers must stage-dive into the massive mosh pit of Internet ordering. “Due to unprecedented demand,” according to the club’s Web site, “online apparel orders will take 14 – 21 days for processing.”
