Corzine must be popular among Democrats in Kansas

Governor Jon Corzine opened up his checkbook this fall, contributing $131,000 to the Democratic Governors Association federal PAC (he had given an additional $100,000 last March), $30,000 to Emily’s List, and $20,000 to the Kansas Democratic Party. Corzine also made fall contributions to: Carol Gay ($2,000), who ran against Congressman Chris Smith in the 4th district; U.S. Senator-elect Robert Casey ($2,100, who defeated GOP Senator Rick Santorum in Pennsylvania, and to three unsuccessful Democratic challengers — Ned Lamont ($2,100) against Senator Joseph Lieberman in Connecticut, Iraqi War veteran Tammy Duckworth ($2,100) for Henry Hyde’s open seat in Illinois, and Victoria Wulsin ($2,100) against GOP Congresswoman Jean Schmidt in Ohio.
