Kean mulls race vs. Lance

Thomas Kean, Jr., who lost his bid for the United States Senate last month, is considering a bid for Senate Republican Leader against incumbent Leonard Lance after the 2007 election. Kean has told some Republican leaders that he has been disappointed with Lance’s performance. Lance became Minority Leader in 2004, after Republicans dropped from twenty seats to eighteen. He survived a challenge from Anthony Bucco two years later.
