New federal figures show that new home prices and sales nationwide were stronger going into the winter. The median home price nationally was (are you ready for this, New Yorkers?) $251,700 in November, up from $248,500 in October. New homes sold at an annual pace of 1.05 million in November, above the 1.01-million pace in October.
What do these rosy numbers mean for New York City? Very little.
But perhaps the strength is a preview of reports to come: Brokerages are expected to release fourth-quarter Manhattan housing market reports early next week.
