DEMETRIA: There will be no tuxedos and no bridesmaid dresses at my wedding. We are having our ceremony on a beach in the Dominican Republic in the summer. It would be akin to torture to ask my fiance and his best man to wear a shirt, a vest and a jacket in 90 degree weather. Plus we really do want a laid back, fuss-free ceremony. So Josh and his best man will be donning slacks, long sleeved shirts, maybe ties, probably sandals and no jackets. My maid of honor will be wearing a cute little top with a flattering pencil skirt, maybe a sash and strappy sandals. All of this in my wedding colors, of course….chocolate brown and various calm shades of blue and purple. We only have a maid of honor and a best man, no other bridesmaids or groomsmen. That said, I haven’t made a single shopping trip for ceremony attire (besides my dress). I think once I get my maid of honor’s outfit everything else will fall into place.
