Attention, New York office workers: Your heating and your email might hit the skids this week.
That’s if the thousands of engineers who operate New York’s largest office towers go on strike, Crain’s reports. The 6,000-member International Union of Operating Engineers Local 94 is upset over–guess what–health benefits. The union’s last contract expired on Dec. 31.
A strike could happen as early as Wednesday.
