Edwards to visit New Jersey

Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards will visit New Jersey on February 26 — the first major Democratic contender to visit New Jersey this year. He will attend a $1,000/$2,300 fundraiser at the Colts Neck home of Rachel and Chris Placitella. Edwards has also picked up his first major New Jersey endorsement: Assemblyman Michael Panter, a Monmouth County Democrat who is co-hosting the event. Fomer Democratic State Committee Counsel Stephen Edelstein, and Glenn Bergenfield, a Princeton trial lawyer, has known John and Elizabeth Edwards since law school and is the godfather to their son, will serve on the host committee, along with Gerald Baker, Abbott Brown, Drew Britcher, Donald Caminiti, Peter Chamas, Dennis Drazin, Michael Ferrara, Michael Galpern, Raymond Gill, Jr., Norman Hobbie, Michael Maggiano, Garry Saloman, Bruce Stern, Jay Surgent, Sol Weiss, and Jack Wurgaft.
