The Monmouth County Republican Chairman is trying to avoid the embarassment of finding things about about his candidate from the Democrats, by vetting his own team before his party endorses anyone.

The former Morris County Democratic Chairman — a top Schoor DePalma executive, state Ethics Commission member, and the brother of State Sen. Shirley Turner — looks like a moron after the Star-Ledger ran images of receipts he submitted for meals during out of state junkets — consecutively numbered and identical, even though they were for different cities. Kersey calls it a coincidence.
