Bryant won’t seek re-election

State Sen. Wayne Bryant, under federal investigation, has announced that he will not seek re-election in 2007.

Camden County Democrats have said that Dana Redd, a Camden City Councilwoman, will be his replacement in the 5th district.

Bryant was elected to the Senate in a 1995 special election convention, following the death of Walter Rand. He served in the Assembly from 1982 to 1995, and as a Camden County Freeholder from 1980 to 1982.
