Media Mogul Bashes Media

At a press conference today to discuss educational reform, Mike Bloomberg singled out two institutional obstacles to his agenda: the teachers union and “newspapers.”

“Number one is the UFT,” he said. “You want to go after somebody, that’s as good an example as anything. All they want to do is roll it back.”

Then, after the politicians who pander to the UFT, Bloomberg said there are “the newspapers that can never find anything good enough. They’re in favor of change, but they’ve never yet in their whole publishing history seen a change that was good enough.”
