Who you calling pansy? We love the “Tulips & Pansies—The Headdress Affair” event, now in its sixth year, as Diane von Furstenberg, Erin Fetherstone and the designers from Heatherette and Bill Blass participate in a good cause by making crazy-ass floral headpieces. It’s like a demented Project Runway challenge, but with established talent! This year, Lady Bunny is participating (watch that bunny tail!), and the merriment will take place at the South Street Seaport. Much further north, under the twinkly lights at Tavern on the Green, the great Elaine Stritch and Carey Perloff will be honored by high-value presenters such as Olympia Dukakis (Dear Hollywood: More Olympia Dukakis!), Nathan Lane and Mr. M.C., David Hyde Pierce, for the National Corporate Theatre Fund’s award gala.
