Obama coming to New Jersey


2008 Democratic Presidential contender Sen. Barack Obama is scheduled to attend three private fundraising events in New Jersey on May 14th – in Montclair, Jersey City and Princeton, according to Obama for America campaign invitations issued to Democrats in the two towns.

The Obama supporters in New Jersey listed on theJersey Cityinvitations are Ed Albowicz, Joe Caufield, Frank Cretella, Terry Dehere, Bill Matsikoudis, Victor Herlinsky, Paul Josephson, E. Junior Maldonado, Rosemary McFadden, Ken McPherson, Pamela Miller, Mike Murphy and Steve Valiotis.

The supporters listed on the Montclair invitations are Bobbi Brown, Steven Plofker, Amy and Mark Alexander, Elise Boddie, Rose and John Cali, Julie and Monty Cerf, Patricia and Joel Ellis, Jody Gilardi, Kimberly and Victor Herlinsky, Rosemary and Al Iversen, Susan Dimarco, Johnson and Jeh Johnson, Caitlin Borgmann, John Lovi, Marcia Marley, Wendy McNeil, Joseph Mellicker, Raymond Mikulich, Sarah Morgenthau, Carlton Wessel, Ramon Rivera, Deborah Sagner, Alex Kent, Sam Selesnick, Maxim Thorne, Paula Tuffin, Reg Hollinger, Karol Corbin Walker, Carol and Terry Wall, and Samantha and Elnardo Webster.

Polling at 16 % among registered Democrats in New Jersey, Obama is running 20 percentage points behind Democratic frontrunner Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, according to Quinnipiac University.

Obama coming to New Jersey
