Me and my egg roll: The Jews and the Chinese have always felt a special bond (and we’re not talking about all those cute interracial couples or nice Jewish couples that adopt from China!). There’s the emphasis on education, Christmas spent in one another’s company and the Lower East Side (predating the $3,000-a-month rent for a 350-square-foot studio), where the two cultures came together. Today it’s the Egg Rolls and Egg Creams Festival (hooray!). Along with the food, there will be music, dance, storytelling and folk-art demonstrations (uh-oh). After you fill up, you can watch the penultimate episode ever(!) of The Sopranos. We wouldn’t put it past that wily David Chase not to whack fat Tony tonight, is all we’re sayin’ ….
[Egg Rolls and Egg Creams Festival, Eldridge Street Synagogue, 12 Eldridge Street, noon to 4 p.m., www.eldridgesteret.org.]
