Another pro-life group has hitched its wagon to Republican Assembly Candidate Jay Webber.
The New Jersey Committee for Life, the state’s affiliate of the National Right to Life Committee, endorsed Webber today in the hotly contested 26th district Republican primary. Webber, a lawyer and former congressional aide, former Kinnelon Council President Larry Casha and Assembly Minority Leader Alex DeCroce are fighting for two assembly seats in this Republican-leaning district.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the New Jersey Committee for Life,” said Webber, a lawyer and former congressional aide. “I am proudly pro-life and look forward to defending and supporting our shared values."
Just last week Webber was endorsed by New Jersey Right to Life PAC, and anti-abortion leader Sean Flanagan sits on his steering committee.
Meanwhile, Webber’s opponent Larry Casha has issued a statement for National Police Week.
“This week we honor the men and women in blue who protect us and our families from those that would do us harm,” he said. “Last year, 143 police officers were killed in the line of duty. We must remember them and the many other officers who have given their lives and pledge to continue to honor their memory in the future.”
