Ayala endorses Manzo

William Ayala, former chief of staff to the late Mayor Glenn Cunningham and a former candidate for the Assembly, has endorsed Assemblyman Louis Manzo for state Senate in district 31, the opponent of the mayor’s widow, Sandra Bolden Cunningham.

“Lou’s legislative record over the last two years shows that he is an activist who understands the legislative process and who puts the needs of the people of Jersey City and Bayonne first,” writes Ayala in a letter appearing in today’s Jersey Journal. “Lou has been a much needed voice in the move towards meaningful property tax reform and has made made fighting for health care benefits for seniors one of his top priorities.”

Ayala also endorsed Manzo’s “B” column running mates, Nicholas Chiaravalloti and Shelia Newton-Moses.
