Former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill First will live in New Jersey for part of 2008; he has accepted a one-year appointment to teach a course on brain damage tele-diagnosis at Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.

That makes Frist, a Princeton graduate who represented Tennessee in the Senate from 1994 to 2006, the only living former Republican U.S. Senator to live in New Jersey. Nicholas Brady, a Republican who filed a vacancy for eight months in 1982, now lives in Maryland.
