Livin’ the vida Yoko! Artist, misunderstood musician, filmmaker and peace activist Yoko Ono sits down for a chat with writer Anthony DeCurtis at the 92nd Street Y. The 74-year-old widow of John Lennon will discuss her recent work and recent albums Yes, I’m a Witch—which featured artists such as the Flaming Lips, Cat Power, Pet Shop Boys and D.J. Spooky (boo!)–and Open Your Box. See if anyone in the crowd remembers Ringo …. Meanwhile, it’s that time of year again! Bugs and blankets and burgundy—HBO kicks off its Bryant Park Summer Film Festival with Annie Hall. We love the whole outdoor movie thing, but be warned of the yahoos who talk through the entire movie. For the more sedate moviegoer, Tootsie plays at the Academy Theater tonight. Yes, we know, Dustin Hoffman was great and all, but we still say it’s Bill Murray’s picture!
