Doctors will operate on state Sen. Bernard Kenny's right shoulder on Monday, according his law partner, Ed Florio.
“He’s in a great deal of pain… You can imagine it’s rather intense," said Florio. "In the grand scheme of things, he’s suffering from injuries from which he will recover. In a situation in which you’re trying to find a silver lining, that's it."
Florio said that he still does not know exactly what happened to Sen. Kenny on Wednesday morning, when he sustained several nasty injuries on his morning jog. Kenny initially told police he fell in a pothole, but the Jersey Journal later reported that Doctors said his injuries are more consistent with a hit and run accident.
"The investigation in ongoing," said Florio.
