A former Paterson housing inspector pleaded guilty today to taking bribes.
Lee Holland was arrested in March after accepting a $600 bribe from an FBI informant. Holland had set up an arrangement with the informant, a property manager, to conduct lax inspections of his apartments in exchange for $200 per week, according to a U.S. Attorney Press Release.
The apartments were meant to be leased to Section 8 tenants, for which the City of Paterson received a federal grant.
Holland was one of 14 public officials from Paterson and Passaic who were arrested in March for corruption.
