10:30 a.m. Police Athletic League youngsters will team up with off-duty police officers for the 2007 PAL Cops & Kids Softball Championship Tournament at DeWitt Clinton Park, 53rd Street and 11th Avenue.

1:30 p.m. Speaker Christine Quinn, together with local elected officials and community leaders, will announce new funding to restore and rehabilitate the historic Jefferson Market Branch Library at 425 Avenue of the Americas at 10th Street.

2 p.m. A wake for Firefighter Joseph Graffagnino will take place at the Andrew Torregrossa & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 79th Street, in Brooklyn.

2 p.m. Council member Leroy Comrie will honor the Little League Team from Jamaica for their sportsmanship at a City Hall reception in the Red Room.
