Bands with bad names: An ensemble called edibleRed, which sounds like some sort of horrible cinnamon candy from the late 1970’s, plays the Highline Ballroom tonight. Check out their photos online! They remind us of No Doubt on drugs—and minus Gwen Stefani and her cute little toddler. Also, up at Rumsey Playfield, G. Love and Special Sauce bring us back to the very white, upper-middle-class suburban youth we’ve been trying to avoid for a solid decade. (Opening for them will be Slightly Stoopid—sweetheart, you’re never gonna get a Grammy with a moniker like that!) Fashion Week, you’ve never sounded so good. …

[Highline Ballroom, 8 p.m., 431 West 16th Street, www.highlineballroom.com; Slightly Stoopid, G. Love and Special Sauce and Ozomatli, Rumsey Playfield, 72nd Street and Central Park West, www.ticketmaster.com]
