He’s bringing sexy back! And we know this city needs it, adrift as we are in monsoon rains, tornadoes, rat-filled subways and creaky bridges. Taking the stage (and city) over at Madison Square Garden tonight and tomorrow is a slick young Justin Timberlake, lowbrow lust object of highbrow New York ladies who are tired of their boyfriends’ finicky bedroom behavior. Keep an eye out all the usual after-party haunts for Mr. Timberlake and his soggy entourage (fingers crossed for the Beatrice Inn). Moving on, if you happen to be walking the streets today, do not be alarmed if you encounter the “Glammy” trailer, a giant, exhaust-belching vehicle packed to the gills with Glamour magazine gals (but no trannies, alas) who will show you a whole new you. (Watch out—here comes the Mitzvah tank, ladies!) For those who like their balls fuzzy, there’s the New York Junior Tennis League’s “Summer Gala with the Stars” at the Boathouse in Central Park. Chatting under the summer sky will be players such as hottie Jim Courier and Patrick McEnroe, the Honorable David N. Dinkins (he was mayor back when you could still rob people, eat fatty foods and smoke) and WCBS TV news anchor Maurice Du Bois, who truly has the best anchor name around.
