Wesley Lance

Wesley Lance’s contributions to our state have been, and will continue to be, felt for many years. Although many New Jerseyans will remember Lance for his service in the State Assembly and at the Constitutional Conventions in 1947 and 1966, those closest to Lance will remember him as a dedicated husband and father, teacher, athlete, coach, veteran, lawyer, and judge.
Because of Wesley Lance, New Jersey is a better place. His dedicated, ethical, and inspiring leadership serves as an important example for today’s political leaders. Lance was of a rare breed of public servants – one who always put service above politics, and the interests of the state above his own interests.
New Jersey lost a role model this week, but if the example he set is followed by our state’s next generation of political leaders, his impact will last long into the future.
