My colleague John Koblin, who has been entertainingly (and obsessively) covering the U.S. Open in Flushing, caught up with the governor last night on his way to one of the matches.
Spitzer, a NASCAR fan, assessed his own tennis game this way:
“I used to volley well. I’d come up to the net a lot. But now I’m 48 years old. My hamstring hurts, my back hurts, and this and that.”
