Michael Bloomberg announced that the city will spend $30 million on an advertising campaign to attract tourists to the city. The print, television, billboard and internet ads will be seen from Boston and Philadelphia to Spain, Ireland and France.
The mayor is not seen in the television ad, which you can watch here. And a spokesman said he won’t be featured in any of the other ads, either.
UPDATE: The $30 million ad buy will cost NYC & Co only $5 million, according to a knowledgeable reader who emailed to say "roughly $25 Million of it is media assets obtained through partnerships etc and are not cash buys."
