We’re heading into the homestretch of CMJ (or at least, you know, the weekend) starting tomorrow. Make sure to black out your windows for maximum sleep-in pleasure on Saturday morning (ahem afternoon).

We highly recommend attending this Chicago math rock fest at The Delancey with Bound Stems, The Narrator and Mannequin Men performing along with Brooklyn’s own Cale Parks (lend an ear to “Wet Paint” on his MySpace page) and Bling Kong, who started their band to promote their clothing line, but then came out with an album called “Do the Awesome.” The show starts at 7 p.m.

Devin the Dude, one of Houston’s most talented old head rappers, will make an appearance at B.B. King’s with DJ Soulico and Del tha Funkee Homosapien starting at 7 p.m. Listen to “What a Job” on Devin’s MySpace page for his stellar collaboration with Andre 3000 of Outkast and Snoop Dogg.

Also at 7 p.m. is Brooklyn anthem rockers Stylofone and Atlanta’s Morning State at 200 Orchard and NYC’s Coheed & Cambria and Long Island high school bros As Tall As Lions will perform at the Highline Ballroom starting at 7 p.m.

At 9 p.m., Team Facelift, the silly rap trio from the Upper East and West sides who were recently featured as a breakout band on MTV, will perform with Kudu and Roxy Cottontail at the “Pussy Party” at Rebel starting at 9 p.m.

Toronto electronic music gods MSTRKRFT will fire up the dance floor at Studio B starting at 10 p.m. along with Z-Trip, Troublemaker and Lazaro Casanova.

Also at 10 p.m. Philly superstar Spank Rock, who likes to make fun of Lindsay Lohan for going panty-less, will bring his naughty hipster raps to The Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza with Yo Majesty, Santogold and The Apes. Check out this video of Spank Rock and his partners in rhyme Amanda Blank and Benny Blanco discussing the best songs to “do it” to. Duran Duran’s "Come Undone" makes the list. Yowza.

Make sure you hydrate. They don’t call it a marathon for nothing.
