Mayor Bloomberg is expected to unveil a rezoning plan for Coney Island at a lunch of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce this Thursday. Over the past year, the administration has beaten back the ambitions of Joe Sitt, a developer who wants to put condominium towers, a hotel and time shares in the current amusement area along with more modern rides and attractions.
A spokesman, John Gallagher, confirmed that the mayor would be speaking about “Coney Island rezoning and development,” but would not give details.
