There’s a chance Hillary Clinton won’t be able to make it to her fundraiser tonight in New Brunswick, but donors need not fret: Bill Clinton will definitely be there.
Hillary Clinton may have trouble getting to New Jersey and back to Iowa in time for tomorrow’s Democratic Debate due to an ice storm that yesterday interrupted presidential campaigns, said Clinton finance committee co-chair John Graham. But her husband, who had not previously planned to attend, will fill in for her.
“We may have both of them. If not — if Hillary gets stuck and has to get out there — at least Bill will be there,” said Graham. “I’m thrilled about it.”
The event, with ticket prices ranging from $100 to $2,300, will feature a performance by Tony Bennett and will be attended by Clinton’s most politically prominent New Jersey backers: Gov. Jon S. Corzine; Sen. Bob Menendez; Congressmen Andrews, Pallone, Pascrell and Sires; Assemblyman/State Democratic Chiarman Joe Cryan; Assembly Speaker Joe Roberts and Assembly Minority Leader Bonnie Watson Coleman.
