Obama volunteers get “fired up” statewide

Coming off a weekend campaign rally, Sen. Barack Obama supporters tried to keep the momentum going with what they described as "get fired up" events around the state.

State Campaign Director Mark Alexander reported from Montclair, "A diverse crew came from around the area to share their stories, and everybody signed up for phone bank training and specific goals for phone banking."

Other meet ups took place in Jersey City, Paterson, and Newark, where Council President Mildred Crump, Councilman Oscar James and Councilman Ron Rice, Jr., helped pump up the troops.

In Brick Township, NJ for OBama co-chairs Stacy Lubrecht and Justin Woska added bodies to their list of area volunteers they say numbers close to 100. Obama volunteers get “fired up” statewide
