Remains of the Day: Kim Deal, Led Zeppelin, Tony Kushner

The music blogs are buzzing about Led Zeppelin possibly coming to Madison Square Garden, but we’re pretty sure the band was drunk and/or high (off the energy of the concert, obviously) when they were discussing these particular prospects.

When Rolling Stone spoke with Breeders leader and Pixies bassist Kim Deal recently about the Breeders’ April 8th album Mountain Battles, Deal didn’t shy away from talk of a new Pixies record: She says there won’t be one (with her on bass, at least). “Helll no,” she says. “Because I don’t want to.”

Bloggers’ books “have come and gone — most with lackluster sales figures. Still, hardly a month goes by without some new announcement of another blogger book deal — even though, for the most part, they’re coming with lower paydays.”
