Mitt Romney uses the following phrases in his new ad: “conservative,” “change,” “tax cuts” and “economy strong.”
This is the Mitt Romney some observers think has been lacking from this campaign–the business executive, instead of the social conservative. Aptly timed, it goes on the air in Florida today just as the morning papers deliver dire financial news.
Although the ad seems tailored to Florida’s wealthy coast, more and more this is a message that will resonate with many Americans. If he sticks to budget issues, Romney could challenge Rudy Giuliani’s self-anointed reign as the fiscal conservative in the Florida primary landscape.
