The people who make movies are so busy giving themselves awards that you’d think they’d cured cancer rather than putting out The Bucket List, but hey, who are we to argue with an excuse to talk about George Clooney? Tonight, the Cloon descends on Cipriani for the Bulgari-sponsored National Board of Review Gala, which of course features many awards for No Country for Old Men and The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, and a best-actor nod for the man himself, perhaps a consolation prize for his imminent whooping by Daniel Day-Lewis at the Oscars. (Now that’s a whooping we’d like to witness.)
