Mike Huckabee is coming to New York City on February 27. He may appear outside the city, too, for the right price: $30,000.
That’s what Huckabee’s New York Chairman, M. Myers Mermel, says is needed to schedule each additional stop on Huckabee’s visit here. In an email to supporters just now, Mermel wrote:
I am writing this morning to see if we have sufficient support to put together events in New York State where you would be able to meet Governor Huckabee in person.
We would need to raise at least $30,000 for each stop. I am writing you to see if we can raise this money to justify scheduling these events. I, for one, would like to see him outside of New York City meeting with as many of his enthusiastic supporters as possible .
Please email me today if you think you can attend and help . The idea is that you will let me know how many people you could bring to an event at $500 to $1000 per person contribution. ( Of course this donation would be against the $2300 per person limit). Don’t hesitate to let me know if you can only bring a few. Other people in your area may help us get to the target. Once I get totals, I will schedule places and exact times.
Given the places where our supporters live, it is most likely we could have an event in the following areas:
Kings/Richmond/New York Counties
If you live in one of these areas, and you think you can bring yourself and some others, please email me TODAY.
The date the governor has is this coming Wednesday, February 27th.
Please try to rally your friends and let’s see if we can get the Governor out in New York next Wednesday.
Regards, Myers Mermel
