David Marash Quits Al Jazeera English

David Marash, a former longtime ABC Nightline correspondent has quit Al-Jazeera English, where he has worked as an anchor for the past two years, the New York Times reports today.

In January of 2006, when Mr. Marash first joined the nascent English-language satellite news channel based in Doha, Qatar, he told the Observer that “their news standards seem to me to be very similar to our news standards.”

Apparently, Mr. Marash no longer feels that way. According to the Times, Mr. Marash felt that recently an “anti-American sensibility,” has been “creeping into” the network’s coverage.
