State Sen. Leonard Lance said today that, although he thinks that the “Save Our State” organization will be unable to save Gov. Corzine’s asset monetization proposal, they ought to disclose their donors sooner rather than later.
“I would encourage the list of donors to be made public, number one, and number two I believe the monetization issue falls of its own weight because of the flaws in the proposal,” he said.
Although the group has until next February to disclose its donors, Lance said that he hopes that they will reveal the list sometime this month, as the group’s spokeswoman, Jennifer Godoski, told Gannett this week. The group had planned to release its donor list last month.
“This should be disclosed in the time frame in which the legislature is discussed the matter. Now or in the next month or so.”
Lance also said that any potential conflict involving Board of Public Utilities President Jeanne Fox, as reported on PolitickerNJ.com, ought to be discussed in her confirmation hearing.
