Stuff White People Like is the brainchild of 29-year-old L.A.-based (but Toronto-raised) copywriter Christian Lander, who, daily-ish, and at once ironically and seriously, is assembling a far-reaching yet stingingly accurate list of items that (upscale) Caucasians do tend to be fond of, including public radio, Mos Def, knowing what’s best for poor people, and threatening to move to Canada.

Amusing writing aside, the subversive fun of the blog is that it’s not talking about race per se but about a certain socioeconomic subset (labeled “yuppies” back in the 1980s) that, in this Viva Obama age, can be satirically lumped together as “White People.” Here’s hoping everyone gets the joke.
