The tweedy types at The Atlantic manage to make Britney Spears seem even more boring than she actually is. Having plopped the pudgy pop tart on their cover, the magazine hastily convenes a dreaded panel to justify their naked attempt to rack up Us Weekly newsstand numbers. The panelists include tabloid queen Bonnie Fuller, Page Six’s Richard Johnson, Regis and Brandy Navarre of the paparazzi agency X17 and Virginia Heffernan of The Times, who is listed as an “online video expert.” These people will solve once and for all the mystery of why we are so fascinated by the sight of movie stars drinking Starbucks.
