New York Post reporter Ken Lovett is leaving for the New York Daily News, where he’ll compete head-to-head with his former partner, the Albany titan Fred Dicker.
The shift was confirmed by a reporter in Albany who said Lovett has already cleared out his desk and begun the move. A Daily News publicist declined to comment.
Lovett, whose been churning out stories in Albany for more than a decade, will also be joined by another, as-yet-unhired Albany reporter, fully staffing the Daily News’ Albany bureau. And, of course, they’ve already got Liz. Not bad.
The current Daily News Albany bureau chief, Joe Mahoney, is staying on for a week and taking a buyout package.
