Sure, lots of us have faked an English accent for a laugh or to try to sound more posh (hello, Madonna). But the dialect most of us manage to pull off usually bears pathetically little resemblance to the real thing, which makes the two-and-a-half-minute video “21 Accents,” by aspiring actress Amy Walker, even more impressive. In the clip, Walker calmly introduces herself in 21 different accents from around the globe, including Czech.
With enough practice, most of us could probably become passable Londoners, but Walker covers everything from Cockney to Southern belle without missing a beat. The most surprising part? After watching the video, we assumed Walker was a U.K. native. But a little digging revealed that she is, in fact, from Seattle.
